MOJIRU [TYPŒ]

ascenderは筆画部分を指すこともあるがstemその他の語などと混乱するので、ここではascenderは単に「部分」または「領域」を指す語として、独自に定義し直してみた。

語義　definitions

• 小文字のうち、mean line 1からascender lineまで伸びた部分または領域。
  【註】出が少しだけの小文字tの上端をascenderと看做さない場合もある。
• The part or area of certain lowercase letters that extends from the mean line to the ascender line.
  [NOTE] The letter t, which has a shorter projection above the x-height, is often not classified with other ascending letters.
